Salem Lutheran Church

Music Ministry

Adult Choir – Our adult choir shares our joy for music in both worship services with anthems, Christmas cantatas and Good Friday tenebrae services. We practice Sunday mornings 9:15-10:00am in the sanctuary (1st Sunday of the month in Luther Hall) and welcome singers 7th grade and above no matter the skill or experience!

Praise Band – Our praise band leads the late worship service with energetic liturgy and praise songs. We practice Tuesday evenings, and welcome instrumental and vocal enthusiasts who wish to help create a meaningful worship service through music.

Children and Youth Singers and Ringers – Children age 3yr-12th grade have many opportunities to make music at Salem. During Oasis on Wednesday evenings, age 3yr-3rd grade sing in our children's choir, and 4th-6th graders lead our opening songs and play in our chimes choir. 7th-12th grade singers are welcome in the adult choir and lead Sunday morning worship every month. All ages frequently and enthusiastically perform in our worship services.

Children’s Musicals – Bible stories are recreated through children's musicals during week-long summer camps, and are performed in our worship services.

Children's Christmas Program – all kids are invited to participate in our children's Christmas program on the Sunday evening before Christmas eve. Shepherds, angels, wise men and animals celebrate the birth of Christ with a new program each year, beginning with a Christmas recital of individual performances and ending with a Christmas cookie fellowship.

Special Music and Drama – All ages and abilities of performers are encouraged to share their creative talents to enhance the worship experience at Salem.
